Cargo we clear at Mumbai Port
Mumbai Port is a different operation from JNPT. Much of its cargo is break-bulk, liquid bulk, vehicles or project cargo rather than standard containers. These shipments need more planning around berthing, unloading and transport.
- Import Bill of Entry and export Shipping Bill filing
- Assessment queries and examination at the docks
- Coordination with the steamer agent and port
- Transport arrangements for heavy or odd-sized cargo
Before your cargo arrives
Share the Bill of Lading, invoice, packing list and any drawings or weight details for oversized pieces. For heavy cargo we'll check transport options early, because trailers and permissions take time to arrange.
Not sure if your cargo is coming into Mumbai Port or JNPT?
Check the port of discharge on your Bill of Lading. If it says Nhava Sheva or JNPT, see Nhava Sheva clearance. Either way, we clear at both, so just send us the document.
Clearance is filed under Customs Broker licence CB 11/1467 held by our sister concern, Sarthak Shipping Service.
