- File the Shipping Bill on ICEGATE with the correct export incentive scheme declared
- Arrange pickup and movement to the CFS, port or air cargo terminal
- Attend customs examination and stuffing
- Track Let Export Order and hand over to the carrier before cut-off
- Book freight by sea, air or courier if you need it
Plan around the cut-off
Vessel and airline cut-offs don't move. If documents arrive late or the factory dispatch slips, the cargo rolls to the next sailing. Share your expected dispatch date when you book and we'll work backwards: when the truck needs to leave, when the Shipping Bill has to be filed, and when examination can happen.
Export documents we usually need
- Commercial invoice and packing list
- Shipping instructions or booking confirmation
- IEC, GST and AD code registered with customs
- Letter of Undertaking (LUT) if exporting without paying IGST
- Any certificate the product or destination needs, such as certificate of origin, phytosanitary or a test report
Exporting small parcels and samples
For samples, jewellery or low-value consignments, courier or postal export is often cheaper. We clear exports through the courier terminal, EMS and the Precious Cargo Customs Clearance Centre (PCCCC). See courier and EMS clearance.

Which documents are needed for export clearance?

Can you book the freight as well as clear the cargo?

When should I contact you for an export shipment?
As soon as you know the dispatch date. A few days' notice lets us line up transport, filing and examination before the cut-off.
Do you handle export through courier or EMS?
Yes. We clear export shipments at the courier terminal, through EMS (Speed Post) and at PCCCC for precious cargo.
