When a courier shipment gets held
Courier companies clear most parcels themselves. But when the value is high, the goods need a licence, or customs wants more information, the parcel is held and the courier asks you to arrange clearance. This is where we come in.
We take authorisation from you under Section 146A of the Customs Act and clear the shipment at the courier terminal. If it can't be cleared there, we have it transferred to the air cargo complex or the PCCCC (Precious Cargo Customs Clearance Centre) and clear it as regular cargo.

- PCCCC: jewellery, gems and other precious cargo, import and export
Sending international courier
We work with several international courier companies and have our own stake in Rameshwar Courier Service. That lets us offer a choice of carrier and rate for documents, samples and commercial parcels. We'll also tell you what paperwork the destination country needs before you send.
What to send us
- Airway bill number and the courier company's notice
- Invoice and description of the contents
- Your KYC (and IEC if it's a commercial import)
- Any licence or certificate the product needs

My courier parcel is held by customs in Mumbai. What do I do?
Send us the airway bill number, the courier's message and the invoice. We'll tell you what customs needs and clear it on your behalf under Section 146A authorisation.

Yes. We clear EMS and Speed Post shipments at the Mumbai foreign post office (APSO), for import and export.
What is PCCCC?
The Precious Cargo Customs Clearance Centre at Mumbai airport handles jewellery, gems and other high-value consignments. We clear imports and exports there.
